A couple of weeks ago I styled a Thanksgiving photoshoot we called “Thankful”. It was full of rich colors, native- inspired details and Fall whimsy. I met with my photographer, Carly Jones at this grassy open field in Hanover, VA which was the perfect setting for the shoot. I used stacked hay bales as a table, earthy elements and textures to create the rustic “feel” I wanted. Hope you can all find some inspiration for Thanksgiving, here are my favorite shots:
The “Give Thanks” cute little bunting adorned the store bought pumpkin pie.
Apple Cider donut holes on sticks, mini carrot cupcakes, turkey and cheese ” bow and arrows” and veggie chips in mini pumkin “bowls” were all decorating the table.
I asked my Facebook friends what were the things they were most thankful for. Among the most popular answers were: Family, Love, Health and Life. I made tags for my “thankful for…” garland with these words.
Some of my favorite details of the kids table were the leaf shaped card stock with coloring pencils and the wooden utensils personalized with a ”Thank you” stamp. I also made feather decorated paper bags to take goodies home.
There is so much to be thankful for! I am thankful for my wonderful family. My two amazing kids, who are my everything and I couldn’t imagine life without. My husband and his ability to make me laugh, even when I don’t want to. Our lovely home, our friends, health… heated water, my mommy van, cupcakes and just for being able to raise my kids and do what I love. To me, that is priceless. I am so blessed with all that I have been given. Far more than I could ever deserve, I’ll tell you that. And I am SO thankful! Life is good.
